AI for Immigration
A few years ago, I anxiously trekked through a web of bureaucracy to obtain a US working visa.
A journey of paperwork, waiting, and anxiety. The goal to work in San Francisco, a city brimming with innovation and opportunity. I was stressed. To make matters worse, COVID (and Trump) upended the immigration processes, stalling consulate interviews and bringing USCIS services to a grinding halt.
But I got there - and the result was life-changing.
Living and working in the US is transformative.
Fast foward a few years, and I decided I could build some tools to help.
And so, Immigration GPT was born.
Teaming up with two like-minded friends from San Francisco, we have poured over US immigration documents to build a chatbot that understands the complexities of US law. Our goal is to help people tackle the daunting task of obtaining a visa, while also fostering an appreciation for the importance of immigration in shaping the diverse fabric of America.
The product today is a baby step in the right direction, there is so much left to build and explore.
